It is always difficult to make a biochemical analysis of the metabolic processes that interact in a certain sports gesture. In fact, often the energetic processes intersect, suddenly alternating aerobic and anaerobic phases with or without oxygen, without giving possible, precise indications that can be catalogised and standardised for the use and consumption of experts on the subject. This is partly the case with tennis, where brief and intense bursts alternate with phases during which the athlete executes small side movements which give him the possibility to recover optimally from the fatigue accumulated in an also very intense exchange. For this reason we did not consider it important to include programmes of aerobic endurance. We thought it would be more useful to prefer the use of muscle programmes of explosive strength to programmes of rapid endurance strength. The explosiveness of the technical gesture of tennis is evident. This explosiveness can be repeated subsequently many times during the different phases of exchange. With the choice and the concept of the programmes in this card, the trainer must take into account the gaps of the athlete to identify an rationalise better the quantity and intensity of electrostimulation to be aligned to dry training. The complexity of tennis lies in the fact that, besides the legs, also the arms and the whole trunk need suitable and specific strengthening. How many times did we see that a tennis player makes the difference thanks to the strength of his hit that makes the ball travel at an incredible speed. So it is clear to think of a directed and specific working way for those muscle districts in the trunk that activate the quick fibres deputed to the mechanical action of the arm movement, which will be much more incisive when the dynamic properties of the musculature in charge, are trained in an optimal way. As for soccer, also for tennis it is important to note that the abdominal should be kept under strict observation and should be strengthened in the right way. This also counts for the gluteal and the adducent which take actively part in sudden side movements. Also in this case, the card contains a series of programmes made to face the peculiar pathology that arises in this sport. In particular the Tens is an optimum antalgic programme that is able to solve irritating sufferings, caused by tendon inflammations; the most frequent painful syndrom. Anyway, we left nothing occasionally and we considered the possibility to intervene with specific Tens current for different kinds of pain, as you can easily see on the list of programmes that are included in the card.
